De La Salle Spartans (Concord, CA) followers left the game pleased Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Elk Grove Thundering Herd (Elk Grove, CA), 7-1 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, De La Salle moves its record to 6-2 on the season. The Spartans travel to Monte Vista (Danville, CA) to battle the Mustangs in a East Bay match on Wednesday, April 2. The Mustangs come into the match with a record of 2-9. Monte Vista lost 4-2 in their recent league match against Dublin (Dublin, CA)
