In Saturday's non-league game, the host Grundy County Yellowjackets baseball team scored a close 7-6 win over the Rocket City Rockets.

The Yellowjackets (3-10) will now prepare for their game against Forrest (Chapel Hill, TN). The Rockets go into the 2A District 7 game with a 10-6 record. In their last game, Forrest nudged Rockford Christian (Rockford, IL), 8-7, in a non-league game.
