California High School Volleyball - Downey tips Dougherty Valley

The Downey Knights volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Dougherty Valley Wildcats to 1 in the Knights non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Knights now have a 10-6 record. They play next when they travel to Stone Ridge Christian for a non-league outing on Saturday, March 29. Downey will play a Knights team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Ripon (Ripon, CA). The Knights record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, Dougherty Valley drops to 6-8 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to California (San Ramon, CA) to play the Grizzlies in a East Bay outing on Tuesday, April 1. The Grizzlies come into the outing with a record of 6-11. California lost 2-0 in their recent non-league outing against Amador Valley (Pleasanton, CA)
