Wheeling Park Patriots (Wheeling, WV) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Saturday as they saw their lacrosse team nudge the host Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV), 8-7 in a league game.

With the victory, Wheeling Park advances its record to 1-4 on the season. The Patriots travel to St. Albans (St. Albans, WV) to play the Red Dragons in a WVSLA - Division II game on Saturday, April 5. The Red Dragons come into the game with a record of 1-1. St. Albans lost 13-4 in their recent non-league game against George Washington (Charleston, WV)

The Knights now sport a 0-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Martinsburg for a non-league game on Wednesday, April 2. Preston will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 11-8 league win over Buckhannon-Upshur (Buckhannon, WV). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-4.
