The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Providence Grove Patriots (Franklinville, NC) and the host Bishop McGuinness Villains (Kernersville, NC), saw Providence Grove's baseball team gain a win over Bishop McGuinness by a tally of 7-4.

The Patriots (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against East Davidson (Thomasville, NC). The Golden Eagles go into the non-league challenge with a 0-6 record. In their last challenge, East Davidson by Forsyth Home Educators (Winston-Salem, NC), 20-0, in a non-league challenge.

With the defeat, Bishop McGuinness drops to 2-3 on the year. The Villains host Bethany Community (Summerfield, NC) to clash with the Wolves in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 1.
