The Coal City Coalers overwhelmed the host Plainfield Central Wildcats softball squad by a count of 18-12 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Coalers meet the Lincoln-Way Central Knights (New Lenox, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, April 1. Coal City will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Knights go into the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 8-0 non-league win over Minooka (Minooka, IL).

The Wildcats (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Rosary (Aurora, IL). The Royals go into the non-league challenge with a 0-0 record.
