In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Marana Tigers volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Sahuaro Cougars.

The Tigers (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Canyon del Oro (Tucson, AZ). The Dorados come into the non-league battle with a 2-1 record. In their last battle, Canyon del Oro achieved victory over Pueblo (Tucson, AZ), 3-2, in a non-league battle.
