California High School Softball - Downey loses to Esperanza
March 3, 2022: Anaheim, CA 92807 The Esperanza Aztecs softball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting Downey Vikings to 1 in the Aztecs non-league triumph on Thursday.
With the triumph, Esperanza moves its record to 5-5 on the year. The Aztecs host Tesoro (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) to clash with the Titans in a non-league game on Tuesday, March 8. The Titans come into the game with a record of 6-5. Tesoro won 4-2 in their recent non-league game against Northwood (Irvine, CA)
In their next game, the Vikings clash with the Yorba Linda Mustangs (Yorba Linda, CA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, March 5. Downey will attempt to move on its 1-5 season record. The Mustangs come into the game with a 1-2 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Rosary Academy (Fullerton, CA).
