Salinas Cowboys (Salinas, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Aptos Mariners (Aptos, CA), 3-2 in a non-league test.

With the win, Salinas upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Cowboys travel to Los Gatos (Los Gatos, CA) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league test on Saturday, March 4. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 1-2. Los Gatos lost 12-11 in their recent non-league test against Pioneer (San Jose, CA)

With the defeat, Aptos falls to 0-1 on the season. The Mariners travel to Everett Alvarez (Salinas, CA) to battle the Eagles in a non-league test on Saturday, March 4.
