Carlsbad Cavemen (Carlsbad, NM) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Cleveland Storm (Rio Rancho, NM), 36-24 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Carlsbad upgrades its record to 24-5 on the season. The Cavemen travel to La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Tuesday, March 7. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 22-7. La Cueva won 49-29 in their recent non-league bout against Mayfield (Las Cruces, NM)
