The El Monte Lions (El Monte, CA) softball got by the visiting Monrovia Wildcats (Monrovia, CA), 8-7 in Tuesday's non-league test.

Next, the Lions meet the Whittier Cardinals (Whittier, CA) in a non-league test, on Thursday, March 5. El Monte will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Cardinals go into the test with a 1-2 record after their 5-0 non-league win over Bell Gardens (Bell Gardens, CA).
