The R-S Central Hilltoppers crushed the visiting Freedom Patriots baseball team by a count of 11-3 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Hilltoppers now possess a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Rutherford for a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A bout on Friday, April 1. R-S Central will face a Cavaliers team coming off a 4-2 league loss to R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 7-3.

Next, the Patriots face the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A bout, on Friday, April 1. Freedom will attempt to move on its 5-7 season record. The Pioneers enter the bout with a 8-3 record after their 10-9 non-league win over A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC).
