The Carbondale Area Chargers crushed the visiting Hanover Area Hawkeyes baseball team by a count of 9-2 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Chargers now possess a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Holy Redeemer for a non-league bout on Saturday, April 1. Carbondale Area will face a Royals team coming off a 11-1 non-league win over Tunkhannock (Tunkhannock, PA). The Royals record now stands at 2-0.
