Virginia High School Soccer - Denbigh nudges Deep Creek
March 30, 2023: Chesapeake, VA 23323 Denbigh Patriots (Newport News, VA) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Deep Creek Hornets (Chesapeake, VA), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Patriots confront the King's Fork Bulldogs (Suffolk, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, March 31. Denbigh will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 5-0 non-league win over Indian River (Chesapeake, VA).
The Hornets now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nansemond River for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 4. Deep Creek will confront a Warriors team coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 4-2.
