Illinois High School Softball - Fairfield bounces Wayne City
March 30, 2023: Fairfield, IL 62837 The Fairfield Mules routed the visiting Wayne City Indians softball squad by a final score of 25-0 in Thursday's non-league battle.
The Mules (5-2) will now prepare for their battle against Webber (Bluford, IL). The Trojans enter the non-league challenge with a 0-5 record. In their last challenge, Webber was routed by Odin/Patoka/Sandoval (Sandoval, IL), 18-2, in a league challenge.
With the loss, Wayne City falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Indians host Centralia (Centralia, IL) to battle the Orphans in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 4. The Orphans enter the challenge with a record of 2-5.
