March 30, 2024: Waltonville, IL 62894 Waltonville Spartans (Waltonville, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Red Hill Salukis (Bridgeport, IL), 3-2 in a league test.
With the win, Waltonville upgrades its record to 4-4 on the season. The Spartans host Webber (Bluford, IL) to battle the Trojans in a Midland Trail test on Monday, April 1. The Trojans come into the test with a record of 2-5. Webber lost 12-1 in their recent non-league test against Hamilton County (McLeansboro, IL)
With the defeat, Red Hill falls to 4-5 on the season. The Salukis host Robinson (Robinson, IL) to battle the Maroons in a non-league test on Monday, April 1. The Maroons come into the test with a record of 7-3. Robinson won 14-1 in their recent non-league test against Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine (Oblong, IL)
