Virginia High School Softball - Amherst County bounces Broadway
March 30, 2024: Amherst, VA 24521 Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Amherst County Lancers (Amherst, VA) and the visiting Broadway Gobblers (Broadway, VA), witnessed Amherst County's softball squad prevail over Broadway by a count of 14-4.
The Lancers now sport a 7-0 record. They play next when they host Salem for a non-league match on Wednesday, April 10.
With the loss, Broadway moves to 3-1 on the season. The Gobblers travel to Turner Ashby (Bridgewater, VA) to face the Knights in a non-league match on Wednesday, April 3. The Knights go into the match with a record of 2-2. Turner Ashby won 10-3 in their recent non-league match against Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA)
