North Carolina High School Softball - Gray Stone Day sneaks past Wheatmore

March 30, 2026: Misenheimer, NC 28109

In Monday's non-league match, the host Gray Stone Day Knights softball team scored a close 7-6 triumph over the Wheatmore Warriors.

With the triumph, Gray Stone Day upgrades its record to 3-7 on the year. The Knights host North Stanly (New London, NC) to play the Comets in a Yadkin Valley 2A/3A game on Tuesday, April 14. The Comets enter the game with a record of 3-8.

The Warriors now own a 6-6 record. They play next when they travel to Trinity for a Central Carolina 3A game on Tuesday, March 31. Wheatmore will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 16-0 league win over Thomasville (Thomasville, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-5.
