March 31, 2011: Nicholasville, KY 40356 In Thursday's non-league contest, the West Jessamine Colts (Nicholasville, KY) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Tates Creek Commodores (Lexington, KY), by a margin of 13-6.
With the triumph, West Jessamine moves its record to 3-2 on the year. The Colts host Somerset (Somerset, KY) to play the Briar Jumpers in a non-league contest on Saturday, April 2. The Briar Jumpers come into the contest with a record of 6-0. Somerset won 5-0 in their recent non-league contest against Estill County (Irvine, KY)
In their next game, the Commodores play the Dunbar Bulldogs (Lexington, KY) in a District 43 contest, on Tuesday, April 12. Tates Creek will attempt to move on its 1-9 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 4-0 record after their 7-1 non-league win over Nelson County (Bardstown, KY).
