The Mohawk Area Warriors (Bessemer, PA) baseball nudged the visiting Union Area Scotties (New Castle, PA), 6-5 in Thursday's non-league outing.

The Warriors now hold a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hopewell for a WPIAL 3A 1 outing on Monday, April 4. Mohawk Area will confront a Vikings team coming off a 5-2 non-league loss to Montour (McKees Rocks, PA). The Vikings record now stands at 1-1.
