In Thursday's non-league game, the Eastern Montgomery Mustangs (Elliston, VA) soccer squad overwhelmed the host James River Knights (Buchanan, VA), by a final score of 8-0.

The Mustangs (6-0) will now prepare for their game against Giles (Pearisburg, VA). The Spartans go into the non-league game with a 1-2 record. In their last game, Giles was overwhelmed by Auburn (Riner, VA), 9-1, in a league game.
