Virginia High School Softball - Northampton bounces Charles City
March 31, 2023: Charles City, VA 23030 Northampton Yellowjackets (Eastville, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Charles City Panthers (Charles City, VA), 13-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Yellowjackets now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Surry County for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 3. Northampton will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 12-1 league loss to Greensville County (Emporia, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 2-4.
With the loss, Charles City falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Panthers host King & Queen Central (King & Queen Court House, VA) to battle the Royal Tigers in a Tidewater challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Royal Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 1-5.
