New Mexico High School Softball - Wingate nudges Many Farms
March 31, 2023: Fort Wingate, NM 87316 Wingate Bears (Fort Wingate, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Many Farms Lobos (Many Farms, AZ), 9-8 in a non-league challenge.
The Bears now own a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Newcomb for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 1. Wingate will battle a Skyhawks squad coming off a 18-13 non-league win over Thoreau (Thoreau, NM). The Skyhawks record now stands at 1-2.
With the loss, Many Farms falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Lobos travel to Zuni (Zuni, NM) to battle the Thunderbirds in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 1. The Thunderbirds enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. Zuni lost 9-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Shiprock (Shiprock, NM)
