March 31, 2025: Mt. Zion, IL 62549 Mt. Zion Braves (Mt. Zion, IL) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Monticello Sages (Monticello, IL), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Mt. Zion moves its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Braves travel to Pana (Pana, IL) to meet the Panthers in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 1. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 2-2. Pana won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Taylorville (Taylorville, IL)
The Sages now sport a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Centennial for a non-league test on Wednesday, April 2. Monticello will meet a Chargers team coming off a 4-0 non-league win over Arthur-Okaw Christian (Arthur, IL). The Chargers record now stands at 2-1.
