Northwest Mohawks (McDermott, OH) supporters left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Portsmouth Trojans (Portsmouth, OH), 12-2 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Northwest improves its record to 3-1 on the year. The Mohawks travel to Symmes Valley (Willow Wood, OH) to play the Vikings in a Southern Ohio II game on Wednesday, April 2. The Vikings enter the game with a record of 5-1. Symmes Valley won 7-4 in their recent non-league game against Independence (Coal City, WV)
