In Friday's non-league challenge, the Cox Mill Chargers (Concord, NC) baseball squad edged the visiting Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC), by a final score of 2-1.

With the win, Cox Mill upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Chargers host Mooresville (Mooresville, NC) to battle the Blue Devils in a Greater Metro 4A challenge on Tuesday, March 8. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a record of 1-2. Mooresville lost 16-12 in their recent non-league challenge against Forbush (East Bend, NC)

With the defeat, Porter Ridge falls to 0-1 on the season. The Pirates travel to Parkwood (Monroe, NC) to battle the Wolf Pack in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 8. The Wolf Pack come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Parkwood won 6-0 in their recent non-league challenge against South Stanly (Norwood, NC)
