The Laney Buccaneers triumphed over the host New Bern Bears lacrosse team by a score of 11-3 in Friday's non-league match.

With the win, Laney upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Buccaneers host Hoggard (Wilmington, NC) to play the Vikings in a Mideastern match on Tuesday, March 8. The Vikings go into the match with a record of 0-1. Hoggard lost 18-2 in their recent non-league match against Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC)

With the defeat, New Bern drops to 1-2 on the season. The Bears travel to Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC) to play the Cardinals in a Big East match on Monday, March 7. The Cardinals go into the match with a record of 0-2. Jacksonville lost 19-3 in their recent non-league match against Topsail (Hampstead, NC)
