Georgia High School Soccer - Franklin County overwhelmed by Monroe Area
March 4, 2022: Monroe, GA 30656 The crowd at Friday's league test between the Monroe Area Hurricanes (Monroe, GA) and the visiting Franklin County Lions (Carnesville, GA), saw Monroe Area's soccer squad beat Franklin County by a margin of 4-0.
The Hurricanes now sport a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to East Jackson for a AAA Region 8 test on Tuesday, March 8. Monroe Area will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Stephens County (Toccoa, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 6-1.
With the loss, Franklin County drops to 3-4 on the season. The Lions travel to Chestatee (Gainesville, GA) to meet the War Eagles in a non-league test on Tuesday, March 8. The War Eagles come into the test with a record of 5-5. Chestatee won 5-0 in their recent non-league test against Riverside Military Academy (Gainesville, GA)
