Texas High School Softball - Del Rio bounces Cotulla
March 4, 2022: Del Rio, TX 78842 Del Rio Rams (Del Rio, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Cotulla Cowboys (Cotulla, TX), 6-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Rams now sport a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Laredo LBJ for a 6A Region IV District 30 challenge on Tuesday, March 8. Del Rio will face a Wolves squad coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Nixon-Smiley (Nixon, TX). The Wolves record now stands at 4-5.
With the loss, Cotulla falls to 8-7 on the campaign. The Cowboys travel to D'Hanis (D'Hanis, TX) to face the Cowboys in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 5. The Cowboys enter the challenge with a record of 6-3. D'Hanis lost 12-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Winn (Eagle Pass, TX)
