The East Central Hornets baseball team scored 9 runs and limited the host Alamo Heights Mules to 1 in the Hornets non-league victory on Saturday.

The Hornets (5-6) will now prepare for their match against San Marcos (San Marcos, TX). The Rattlers go into the 6A Region IV District 27 match with a 5-6 record. In their last match, San Marcos gained a win over Davenport (San Antonio, TX), 10-6, in a non-league match.

The Mules (3-6) will now prepare for their match against Jefferson (San Antonio, TX). The Mustangs go into the 5A Region IV District 27 match with a 2-4 record. In their last match, Jefferson was overwhelmed by El Paso (El Paso, TX), 10-0, in a non-league match.
