Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the DeSoto Central Jaguars (Southaven, MS) and the host Saltillo Tigers (Saltillo, MS), witnessed DeSoto Central's softball squad tip Saltillo by a count of 2-1.

The Jaguars now sport a 4-1 record. They play next when they host Grenada for a non-league match on Monday, March 6.

With the loss, Saltillo moves to 0-2 on the season. The Tigers travel to Kossuth (Kossuth, MS) to meet the Aggies in a non-league match on Friday, March 24. The Aggies go into the match with a record of 7-2.
