Dripping Springs Tigers (Dripping Springs, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Rains Wildcats (Emory, TX), 9-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 17-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Georgetown for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 4. Dripping Springs will face a Eagles squad coming off a 12-0 non-league win over Montgomery (Montgomery, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 15-4.

With the loss, Rains falls to 11-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Edgewood (Edgewood, TX) to face the Bulldogs in a 3A Region II District 12 challenge on Tuesday, March 7. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 6-3. Edgewood lost 5-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Mabank (Mabank, TX)
