Texas High School Softball - Pine Tree nudges Gunter
March 4, 2023: Gunter, TX 75058 Pine Tree Pirates (Longview, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Gunter Tigers (Gunter, TX), 6-5 in a non-league challenge.
The Pirates now own a 15-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Texas for a 5A Region II District 15 game on Tuesday, March 7. Pine Tree will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 6-3 non-league win over Atlanta (Atlanta, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 5-4.
In their next game, the Tigers clash with the Howe Bulldogs (Howe, TX) in a 3A Region II District 11 game, on Saturday, March 18. Gunter will attempt to move on its 5-4 season record.
