The Gilbert Tigers routed the host South Mountain Jaguars softball team by a margin of 21-1 in Wednesday's non-league outing.

The Tigers now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mesquite for a non-league outing on Thursday, March 5. Gilbert will encounter a Wildcats team coming off a 17-1 non-league loss to Eastmark (Mesa, AZ). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, South Mountain moves to 3-2 on the season. The Jaguars host Marcos de Niza (Tempe, AZ) to meet the Padres in a non-league test on Wednesday, March 18. The Padres go into the test with a record of 4-3.
