Texas High School Softball - Burnet nudges Johnson City
March 5, 2022: Johnson City, TX 78636 Burnet Bulldogs (Burnet, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Johnson City Eagles (Johnson City, TX), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Bulldogs now own a 12-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lampasas for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 8. Burnet will battle a Badgers squad coming off a 12-5 non-league loss to East View (Georgetown, TX). The Badgers record now stands at 3-5.
With the loss, Johnson City falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to San Saba (San Saba, TX) to battle the Armadillos in a 2A Region IV District 28 challenge on Tuesday, March 8. The Armadillos enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
