The Porter Ridge Pirates got by the visiting Central Davidson Spartans softball squad by a count of 1-0 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Pirates (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Providence (Charlotte, NC). The Panthers go into the non-league battle with a 2-1 record.

The Spartans now sport a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Northern Guilford for a non-league battle on Wednesday, March 9.
