Texas High School Softball - Cisco knocked off by Merkel
March 5, 2022: Merkel, TX 79536 In Saturday's non-league contest, the Merkel Badgers (Merkel, TX) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Cisco Loboes (Cisco, TX), by a margin of 10-0.
With the triumph, Merkel moves its record to 4-0 on the year. The Badgers host Ballinger (Ballinger, TX) to play the Bearcats in a 3A Region I District 6 contest on Tuesday, March 8. The Bearcats come into the contest with a record of 2-2.
In their next game, the Loboes play the Breckenridge Buckaroos (Breckenridge, TX) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, March 5. Cisco will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record. The Buckaroos come into the contest with a 5-5 record after their 9-2 non-league win over Brownwood (Brownwood, TX).
