Texas High School Softball - Crosby gets by Johnson
March 5, 2022: Buda, TX 78610 The Crosby Cougars (Crosby, TX) softball nipped the host Johnson Jaguars (Buda, TX), 1-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Cougars (14-2) will now prepare for their bout against Barbers Hill (Mt. Belvieu, TX). The Eagles go into the 5A Region III District 21 bout with a 13-6 record. In their last bout, Barbers Hill held off Deer Park (Deer Park, TX), 5-2, in a non-league bout.
The Jaguars now possess a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Seguin for a 5A Region IV District 26 bout on Friday, March 11. Johnson will confront a Matadors squad coming off a 5-4 league loss to Tivy (Kerrville, TX). The Matadors record now stands at 6-3.
