The Friendswood Mustangs (Friendswood, TX) softball routed the visiting Sherman Bearcats (Sherman, TX), 10-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Mustangs (10-4) will now prepare for their bout against La Porte (La Porte, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 5A Region III District 22 bout with a 7-1 record. In their last bout, La Porte notched a victory over Rockport-Fulton (Rockport, TX), 7-5, in a non-league bout.
