North Monterey County Condors (Castroville, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Leigh Longhorns (San Jose, CA), 9-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Condors now own a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Los Altos for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 5. North Monterey County will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 7-2 non-league win over Evergreen Valley (San Jose, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Leigh falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Longhorns travel to Los Gatos (Los Gatos, CA) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 8. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
