Pleasant Valley Vikings (Chico, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Nevada Union Miners (Grass Valley, CA), 7-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Vikings now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Roseville for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 5. Pleasant Valley will face a Tigers squad coming off a 13-1 non-league win over Lowry (Winnemucca, NV). The Tigers record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Nevada Union falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Miners host Colfax (Colfax, CA) to face the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 8.
