Lovelady Lions (Lovelady, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Timpson Bears (Timpson, TX), 6-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Lovelady upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Lions travel to Iola (Iola, TX) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league test on Thursday, March 7. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 1-2. Iola won 10-3 in their recent non-league test against Buffalo (Buffalo, TX)

With the defeat, Timpson falls to 4-1 on the season. The Bears travel to Martinsville (Martinsville, TX) to battle the Pirates in a 2A Region III District 23 test on Tuesday, April 16. The Pirates come into the test with a record of 2-6.
