In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Pamlico County Hurricanes (Bayboro, NC) basketball squad nipped the host Perquimans Pirates (Hertford, NC), by a margin of 45-41.

The Hurricanes (16-13) will now prepare for their outing against East Columbus (Lake Waccamaw, NC). The Gators go into the non-league outing with a 24-1 record. In their last outing, East Columbus got by Gates County (Gatesville, NC), 54-47, in a non-league outing.
