March 5, 2024: Murrells Inlet, SC 29576 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league test between the St. James Sharks (Murrells Inlet, SC) and the visiting West Ashley Wildcats (Charleston, SC), saw St. James's soccer squad get by West Ashley by a margin of 1-0.
The Sharks now sport a 2-0 record. They play next when they host Sumter for a test on Tuesday, March 12. St. James will encounter a Gamecocks squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Dutch Fork (Irmo, SC). The Gamecocks record now stands at 0-2.
With the loss, West Ashley drops to 0-2 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Porter-Gaud (Charleston, SC) to encounter the Cyclones in a non-league test on Thursday, March 7. The Cyclones come into the test with a record of 0-1. Porter-Gaud lost 3-1 in their recent non-league test against Hanahan (Hanahan, SC)
