The East Rutherford Cavaliers baseball team scored 9 runs and restricted the visiting Kings Mountain Mountaineers to 8 in the Cavaliers non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Cavaliers (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Patton (Morganton, NC). The Panthers enter the non-league battle with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, Patton held off Mitchell (Bakersville, NC), 11-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Mountaineers face the Cherryville Ironmen (Cherryville, NC) in a non-league battle, on Friday, March 7. Kings Mountain will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Ironmen enter the battle with a 1-1 record after their 19-6 non-league loss to South Point (Belmont, NC).
