Venus Bulldogs (Venus, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Itasca Wampus Cats (Itasca, TX), 8-6 in a non-league test.

With the win, Venus upgrades its record to 1-2 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Diamond Hill-Jarvis (Fort Worth, TX) to battle the Eagles in a non-league test on Thursday, March 14. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 6-5.

With the defeat, Itasca falls to 2-3 on the season. The Wampus cats travel to Hamilton (Hamilton, TX) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league test on Friday, March 8. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 4-5. Hamilton lost 3-0 in their recent league test against Coleman (Coleman, TX)
