Iowa High School Basketball - Lake Mills can't hold off Marquette
March 6, 2024: Bellevue, IA 52031 The Marquette Defenders basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the visiting Lake Mills Bulldogs to 57 in the Defenders non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Defenders now sport a 27-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Linn for a non-league contest on Friday, March 8. Marquette will battle a Lynx team coming off a 67-51 non-league win over Winfield-Mt. Union (Winfield, IA). The Lynx record now stands at 25-1.
The Bulldogs (25-2) will now prepare for their contest against Winfield-Mt. Union (Winfield, IA). The Wolves come into the non-league contest with a 21-3 record. In their last contest, Winfield-Mt. Union was nudged by North Linn (Troy Mills, IA), 67-51, in a non-league contest.
