El Cerrito Gauchos (El Cerrito, CA) followers left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Alameda Hornets (Alameda, CA), 3-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, El Cerrito advances its record to 5-2 on the season. The Gauchos travel to Albany (Albany, CA) to face the Cougars in a Tri-County test on Friday, March 7. The Cougars go into the test with a record of 2-1. Albany lost 3-1 in their recent non-league test against Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland, CA)

The Hornets now hold a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Encinal for a non-league contest on Tuesday, March 11. Alameda will meet a Jets team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to San Leandro (San Leandro, CA). The Jets record now stands at 3-6.
