In Friday's non-league bout, the Sylmar Spartans (Sylmar, CA) baseball team trounced the visiting Legacy Tigers (South Gate, CA), by a count of 7-1.

The Spartans now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Roosevelt for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 7. Sylmar will clash with a Rough Riders team coming off a 6-5 non-league win over Franklin (Los Angeles, CA). The Rough Riders record now stands at 1-1.
