In Friday's non-league game, the host Oxford Prep Griffins baseball team scored a close 4-1 win over the Roxboro Community Bulldogs.

The Griffins (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Southern School of Energy and Sustainability (Durham, NC). The Spartans come into the non-league match with a 3-1 record. In their last match, Southern School of Energy and Sustainability tipped J.F. Webb (Oxford, NC), 13-3, in a non-league match.

The Bulldogs now have a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Franklin Academy for a Diamond Nine 1A/2A/3A match on Tuesday, March 10. Roxboro Community will battle a Patriots squad coming off a 5-3 league loss to Voyager Academy (Durham, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 0-2.
